Payment Bond Form Summary
This is a Payment Bond form issued by the County of Sacramento for a Processing of E-Waste contract. The bond serves as a performance and payment guarantee, requiring the contractor and surety to ensure fulfillment of all contractual obligations related to the collection, recycling, and reporting of covered electronic waste (CEW), uncovered waste electronic devices (UWED), recyclable electric equipment materials (REEM), and universal waste (UWASTE). The bond protects the County by guaranteeing that the contractor and any subcontractors will pay all persons entitled to payment under California Civil Code Section 9100, fulfill unemployment insurance obligations, and comply with wage deduction and withholding requirements as mandated by the California Unemployment Insurance Code. The bond amount is to be determined and must equal one hundred percent of the agreement value plus early termination fees. The surety waives notice of any changes, extensions, alterations, or additions to the contract terms and explicitly waives the provisions of California Civil Code Sections 2819 and 2845. The bond requires original signatures from authorized representatives of both the contractor and the surety company, with the surety's Attorney-in-Fact signature requiring notarization and accompaniment of a current power of attorney. The County requires one hardcopy bond submission bearing all original signatures and notarization documentation.
