About this file

This is a Pricing Considerations attachment for a Sacramento County, California solicitation for collection, recycling, and reporting services of covered electronic waste (CEW), uncovered waste electronic devices (UWED), recyclable electric equipment materials (REEM), and universal waste (UWASTE). The County will collect and store materials in vendor-provided half-ton electronics cages or forty-yard roll-off boxes, with roll-offs designated for oversized electronics, printers, and CRT monitors at the North Area Recovery Station (NARS) and Kiefer Landfill (KLF). The vendor must pick up materials from four county locations and deliver replacement forty-yard drop boxes within 48 hours of notification, maintaining a minimum of two boxes at both NARS and KLF at all times. The County reserves the right to transport materials if the vendor is within County limits, with the vendor responsible for all out-of-county transportation and in-county transportation during County equipment failures.

The vendor must confirm its capacity to handle fluctuating pickup volumes, process the listed material quantities, accept materials as-is without county preparation, and divert all transferred materials from landfills through safe and legal recycling methods. The contractor assumes responsibility for any fines resulting from noncompliance with reporting requirements, including submission of Cal Recycle Form 197 monthly, DTSC Form 1471 by February 1st annually, Cal Recycle Form 220 by March 1st annually, and Sacramento County Site Location reports by January 15th of the following year. All pricing must be submitted in U.S. Dollars, and the vendor must demonstrate the ability to collect materials from each location as needed and deliver and pick up forty-yard boxes within 48 hours upon County request.
