About this file
This is a Performance Standards document for the State of Florida, Department of Management Services (DMS), Division of Real Estate Development and Management, establishing performance expectations for lawn care services across multiple facilities in three regions: Pensacola, Tallahassee, and Tampa. The document outlines specific service requirements and quality standards that contractors must meet throughout the contract term. The performance standards address key operational aspects including mowing frequency, turf quality maintenance, weed control, landscape bed maintenance, debris removal, and equipment standards. Contractors are required to perform services on a routine schedule with specified intervals between service visits, maintain turf at designated heights, and ensure all facilities maintain a professional appearance consistent with state standards. The standards establish measurable benchmarks for contractor performance and define conditions under which work is deemed acceptable or unacceptable.
The performance standards document includes detailed specifications for seasonal variations in service requirements, reflecting Florida's climate and growing conditions throughout the year. Contractors must comply with all applicable environmental regulations and maintain appropriate equipment in working condition. The document establishes a framework for quality assurance and inspection procedures, enabling DMS to verify contractor compliance with stated performance metrics. Performance failures or non-compliance issues are addressed through corrective action procedures, with provisions for remedies or contract adjustments. These standards apply uniformly across all awarded contractors regardless of region, ensuring consistent service quality at all state facilities under this contract.
