About this file

This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act (SCA) for federal contracts in Michigan. The document establishes mandatory prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits for service contract employees working in eleven Michigan counties: Alcona, Alpena, Cheboygan, Crawford, Iosco, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Oscoda, Otsego, Presque Isle, and Roscommon.

The wage determination (No. 2015-4873, Revision 31, effective December 3, 2025) covers over 200 occupational classifications across multiple categories including administrative support, automotive service, food preparation, furniture maintenance, general services, health occupations, information technology, instructional occupations, materials handling, mechanics and maintenance, personal needs, plant operations, protective services, recreation, stevedoring, technical occupations, transportation, and miscellaneous occupations. Wage rates range from $12.94 per hour (Messenger Courier) to $54.89 per hour (Cable Splicer). All employees receive fringe benefits of $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours per week) or $222.00 weekly/$962.00 monthly, with an alternative rate of $5.09 per hour for employees covered by Executive Order 13706 paid sick leave requirements. Additional benefits include two weeks paid vacation after one year of service, a minimum of twelve paid holidays annually, and applicable hazard pay differentials (4-8 percent) for specified hazardous work. The determination also includes special provisions for computer professionals, air traffic controllers, weather observers, and uniform allowances. Contractors must use Standard Form 1444 (SF-1444) to request authorization for occupational classifications not listed in the wage determination.
