About this file
This is a Test Memo from SRF-JRMC Det Sasebo documenting the satisfactory replacement of wheel and wheel braking system components for vessel NBU-7 / LARC-936. The test was prepared by A. Nakashima on 3/23/26, reviewed by S. Iida and S. Phillips, and approved by S. Phillips on 3/24/26. Test identification numbers include TEST# 58331-4-100_26130, ESR# SASN-26-S232-0010, WN# 57078-RS01-L013, SSP# SASN-003-26, and WS# 589-54-001.
The operational test procedure encompasses four main test conditions conducted at land: (1) verification of emergency service brake pump operation with no leaks at 12 & 24 VDC ON, (2) verification of service brake pressure switches and accumulators with IQAN display confirmation and accumulator charging sound verification during engine running, (3) brake pedal control valve pressure testing requiring 2,000 ±100 psig gauge readings, and (4) craft drive testing including brake burnishing, rotor marking inspection, hydraulic oil leakage verification, and wheel drive assembly functionality checks. All test acceptance criteria address the Emergency Service Brake Pump & Motor with Starting Solenoids, Hydraulic Pump and Motor Assembly, Service Brake Tail Light Hydraulic Pressure Switch, Service Brake Hydraulic Pressure Transducers, Accumulators, Brake Pedal Control Valves, Brake Calipers, Brake Pads, Brake Bleeding, Service Brake Rotors, FWD/AFT Wheel Motor Upper and Lower Drive Assembly Mounting Brackets, Wheel Gasket, and Upper/Lower Bearing Cover Plates. The test data sheet provides satisfaction/unsatisfaction checkboxes for each acceptance criterion and requires sign-off by LWC and S246 personnel upon completion.

4-6 Do not move the craft until all personnel are securely onboard or have cleared the immediate mooring area.
Personnel in the surrounding area may be injured or killed if struck by the craft.
4-7 Personnel onboard the craft should be notified that transition from the land to water is in progress and from water to land is in progress. This notification will allow personnel to prepare for turbulence and the abrupt speed reduction when the front wheels become grounded. Failure to provide notice may result in serious injury or death to onboard personnel.
