About this file

This document provides details for a federal solicitation seeking design-build construction services for an Emergency Department expansion project located at the Cleveland VA Medical Center.

The solicitation will be a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside seeking a single firm-fixed price contract to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment for construction of a 27,000 square foot, two-story addition integrating a psychiatric emergency department and specialty care clinics. Scope of work includes renovations to approximately 10,000 square feet of existing emergency department space, a new entrance drive, parking lot, and exterior features. General construction, alterations, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work will be required to create usable clinic space.

The solicitation is scheduled for release on February 26, 2021 as an Invitation for Bid evaluated based on procedures in the solicitation document. The period of performance is expected to be approximately 695 calendar days from notice to proceed. The project value is estimated between $10-20 million.
