About this file
This document is a requirements attachment for a web-based Jury Management System (JMS) solution as part of a federal contract opportunity. The attachment outlines the proximity technology functions and features the JMS solution must provide, including juror check-in/check-out, data collection screens, security settings, login process, and history tracking. Key requirements include the ability for jurors to use mobile devices to perform tasks within a court-determined proximity, configurable options for courts, and integration with the Judiciary's financial management system. The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation for a modified commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS), web-based JMS solution to assist U.S. courts with juror selection, management, and financial/statistical processing. The solicitation is an unrestricted, single-award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with proposals due by May 31, 2024.

Overview
Proximity technology will allow jurors to use their mobile devices to check-in, check-out, provide missing information, and perform other duties when they are in a court-determined distance from the jury assembly room.
This technology can assist court staff in the daily attendance check-in, check-out process as well as facilitating the update of personal information in the database by using specific configurations. It is envisioned that this will be a function of the Online Public Access Website and only activate when a juror is at a distance from or within the courthouse, which shall be set by each court.
