About this file
This is a Laundry and Dry-Cleaning (L&DC) Inspection Worksheet used by Quality Assurance Evaluators (QAE) to assess contractor performance at customer locations for dry-cleaning, specialty items, and Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE) services.
The worksheet establishes performance standards and inspection methodologies across 13 performance requirements. Key service requirements include: providing laundry services to Government-authorized customers only; ensuring contractor personnel maintain appropriate appearance and dress code compliance; cleaning specialty items and OCIE items in accordance with manufacturer care instructions to ensure serviceability and sanitary condition; completing standard laundry and dry-cleaning within five business days with same-day service for military funeral uniforms; providing wrinkle-free dry cleaning of flags, bunting, ceremonial uniforms, and chaplains' vestments; invoicing drapery processing at an established rate per square foot including processing, ironing, and delivery; segregating cleaned items from items awaiting cleaning during transport while maintaining cleanliness; cleaning vehicles with germicidal cleaner after each working day; and maintaining accountability of Government-owned items. Performance thresholds range from zero valid discrepancies (for item segregation during transport, vehicle cleaning, and Government property accountability) to five valid discrepancies per inspection period (for specialty item and flag/bunting cleaning). Inspection methods vary between 100% inspection for authorization verification, cleanliness segregation, and inventory accountability, and random inspection for personnel appearance, item quality, folding/bundling, completion timelines, dry-cleaning quality, and drapery invoicing. The form includes signature lines for QAE and contractor representative authorization.
