About this file

This is Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, published by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, which expires on 07/31/2026. The form is used to verify the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States.

The form consists of four pages including Section 1 (Employee Information and Attestation), Section 2 (Employer Review and Verification), Supplement A (Preparer/Translator Certification), and Supplement B (Reverification and Rehire). It includes detailed lists of acceptable documents that employees can present to establish identity and employment authorization - either one document from List A, or a combination of one document each from List B and List C. The form requires employers to physically examine the documentation within three business days of the employee's first day of employment. Key features include anti-discrimination notices, penalties for false statements, and specific requirements for document verification and retention. This appears to be a blank template form provided as an attachment to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center's Student Support Services RFP.
