About this file
This document contains a Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) for an E156 Shelter Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). The FMECA identifies 65 potential failure modes for UPS components, including computers, circuit breakers, batteries, switches and connectors. Each failure mode is assessed for its potential effects on subsystem, system and mission capabilities. With redundant Emergency Operating Centers (EOCs), the severity classifications of most failure modes can be reduced from Category II to Category III-2R. The analysis determines the UPS system Critical Item Development Specification (CIDS) reliability to be 2.59E-03 failures per million hours with a modified reliability of 2.80E-04 due to EOC redundancy.
This opportunity posting is for a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Low Rate Initial Production/Full Rate Production (LRIP/FRP) hardware segment. The requirement involves producing IBCS hardware end items according to supplied Technical Data Packages and the CIDS, as well as maintaining approved software/firmware updates, cybersecurity, and Authority to Operate on existing hardware. Engineering changes may be required for obsolescence, new capabilities or export considerations. The draft RFP is not currently soliciting proposals and is for comment only. The soliciting agency is the Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal.
