About this file
This is a Facilities Guide document for the Fort Rucker Aviation Maintenance (FRAM II) contract (W58RGZ-26-R-0026) administered by AMCOM Combined Logistics Command. The guide provides comprehensive information about government-furnished facilities available to support aircraft maintenance and logistics operations across multiple locations at Fort Rucker, Alabama.
The guide encompasses over 120 facilities distributed across six primary locations: Main Post, Knox Army Heliport, Molinelli Range, Cairns Army Airfield, Lowe Army Heliport, Hanchey Army Heliport, and Shell Army Heliport. Facilities include aircraft maintenance hangars ranging from 11,000 to 132,522 square feet, specialized shops (paint, welding, turbine engine, hydraulics, avionics, blade repair), component maintenance facilities, aircraft wash racks, hazardous materials storage, parts storage warehouses, administrative offices, and vehicle maintenance bays. Key facilities include Building 01001 (127,293 square feet, $23 million value) serving as a back shop for component maintenance with 19 specialized shops; Building 50400 (132,522 square feet, $25.2 million value) at Hanchey as a primary aircraft maintenance hangar; and Building 30300 (95,876 square feet, $13.8 million value) at Cairns with dual overhead cranes and a semi-downdraft paint booth. The total facility inventory includes over 1.1 million square feet of space valued at approximately $133 million. The contractor is responsible for daily facility inspections, identifying safety and maintenance deficiencies through Facilities Engineering Work Requests, and obtaining government approval for any modifications to facilities. Some facilities are co-occupied with government personnel, and the government reserves the right to reallocate assigned facilities as operational requirements change.
