About this file
This document is an Appendix D - Cost Proposal for a WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) Services contract. The proposal outlines pricing for various components of a WIC electronic payment system, including monthly case management pricing, retail point-of-sale (POS) devices, clinic devices, optional services like card protection sleeves, and 24/7 customer service. The pricing model is structured around cost per case month (CPCM), with billing only for active cases that have food benefits available for withdrawal within the billing month.
The cost proposal includes detailed pricing for hardware components such as VeriFone Vx520 terminals, magnetic stripe readers, PIN selection terminals, and optional card sleeve accessories. Pricing is specified on a per-unit or per-case basis, with notes indicating that certain devices are non-repairable and will require full replacement upon defect. The proposal allows for flexible pricing of optional requirements, with the state being billed specifically for WIC-only POS terminals that are actively deployed and in use during each billing period.
