B. Bilingual Terminology Note (Verteiler / Manifold / Board):

Bidders and Contractors are advised that German Host Nation technical plans use the term "Verteiler" (distributor/distribution board), which is translated in some project documents as "manifold" or "distribution manifold." For the purposes of this electrical contract, all references to "nine main manifolds" or "distribution manifolds" shall be understood as referring to the nine

(9) main electrical distribution boards (panelboards) listed in the PWS and detailed in Section 26 24 16.

C. Inspection Findings & System Deficiencies: The existing panels suffer from:

• Severe moisture condensation due to direct contact with temperature-controlled cold storage walls.

• Zero remaining physical capacity or electrical reserves for future loads.

• Missing Residual Current Device (RCD / FI) protection, in direct violation of current Host Nation VDE standards.

• Unprotected sub-distributors lacking critical back-up fuses, leaving FI switches unprotected.

• Incompatibilities in the main busbar rated at 2800A in Building 56, where the three current transformers risk overloading the busbar configuration.

1.3 HAZARDOUS MATERIALS

A. Asbestos and Lead-Based Paint: Bidders may conduct their own surveys for asbestos-containing materials (ACM) and lead-based paint (LBP) in the areas affected by the panel replacements.

B. Host Nation Disposal: Removal and disposal of any hazardous components shall comply with Host Nation and EU environmental regulations.

Verteiler / Distribution Panel

Zuleitung von KH5 UVIV F36, NH00 100A

Hinweis:

Dieser Plan wurde mit Hilfe von

Verteilerplänen und Begehungen der

Bestandsaufnahme erstellt.

A notice:

This plan was created with the help of distribution plans and inventory inspections.

In some cases the cable types, fuses and circuits are not visible and are no longer known. Retrofitting of distributors and power outlets that were carried out over the course of the year are sometimes not recorded in the documents provided.

When this plan was drawn up, these distribution panels and additional circuits, as far as known, were recorded and still need to be checked in detail.

This plan is not yet complete and will be updated and completed with each additional index.

The revision clouds contain comments that evaluate the status of the network calculation and network structure.

During the inspections, it was generally noticed that the back-up fuses are missing in many sub distributors, so that the FI switches are not protected.

In some cases the TN-C network was meshed with a TN-S network. Here you have to check in every distributor that there is a TN-C-S network and not the other way around.

The busbar in the main building distribution in building 56 has a rated current of 2800A. The rated currents of three transformers overload the busbar.
