About this file
This Addendum #2, issued by the District Board of Trustees of Valencia College, Florida on March 30, 2026, revises vendor minimum qualifications and technical requirements for RFP 2026-30 HVAC Preventative Maintenance, Service and Repairs. The solicitation seeks a qualified State of Florida Certified Mechanical Contractor to provide comprehensive HVAC preventative maintenance, service, and repairs across eleven campus locations, including quarterly and annual maintenance for approximately 20 chillers and 14 Liebert cooling units, each requiring three quarterly visits and one annual visit annually, as well as 24-hour emergency repair services with a two-hour response requirement. A non-mandatory site visit/walk-through is scheduled for March 24, 2026 (8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. EST) at West Campus, 1800 S. Kirkman Road, Orlando, Florida. The inquiry deadline is April 3, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. EST, with proposals due April 10, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. EST via VendorLink. Proposal evaluation is scheduled for April 23, 2026, notice to award on April 27, 2026, and final Board approval on May 7, 2026. The contract term is three years with potential extension for two additional one-year periods, not to exceed five years total.
Mandatory minimum qualifications now require proposers to hold active State of Florida Certified Mechanical Contractor status, current Business Tax Receipt, five years of continuous HVAC service experience, and current Liebert Service Provider Network (LSPN) certification for a minimum of three years, with maintenance required throughout the contract duration. If a sub-contractor is utilized, the proposer must provide the sub-contractor's business name, mailing address, and telephone number. Proposers must also demonstrate experience servicing Liebert or equivalent mission-critical cooling systems, possess manufacturer-authorized training and certifications, and provide evidence of experience supporting data centers or critical environments in higher education. Failure to acknowledge receipt of this addendum in the proposal submittal may result in disqualification of the response.
