About this file

This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration for Texas Counties of Hidalgo. The document (Wage Determination No. 2015-5245, Revision 29, dated May 13, 2026) establishes prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits for service contract employees working in the specified geographic area.

The wage determination lists over 200 occupation codes and corresponding hourly wage rates ranging from approximately $10.76 to $51.28 per hour, covering diverse job categories including administrative support, healthcare, information technology, transportation, maintenance, mechanics, protective services, and skilled trades. All occupations listed receive the following fringe benefits: $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours per week or $222.00 per week) for health and welfare, and an additional $5.09 per hour (up to 40 hours per week or $203.60 per week) under Executive Order 13786 for paid sick leave. The determination includes special provisions for computer employees (exempt from wage determination under certain conditions), air traffic controllers and weather observers (entitled to night differential and Sunday premium pay), hazardous pay differentials (8 percent for high-hazard positions and 4 percent for low-hazard positions), and uniform allowances ($1.35 per week or $67 cents per day for cleaning and maintenance). Employees are entitled to two weeks paid vacation after one year of service and three weeks after ten years, plus ten federal holidays annually. The document applies to all contracts subject to the Service Contract Act awarded on or after January 1, 2017.
