About this file
This is a permit fees document for the GSL Marina Water Line Replacement project (DFCM Project #22236510) issued by the Greater Salt Lake Municipal Services District and related jurisdictions in Utah. The document establishes contractor fees for various permits required during construction, effective April 14, 2026. The project encompasses water infrastructure work at Great Salt Lake State Park and Great Saltair, including installation of a new water line, construction of an above-ground water storage tank, and a booster pump station, with a construction cost estimate of $10.2 million. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and paying associated fees without markup in base bid pricing, including excavation permits through the GSL MSD Engineering Department (requiring 48-hour notice for inspection), stormwater review and floodplain development permits through Planning and Development Services, and various permits from Salt Lake City and UDOT.
The permit fees detailed in the document include excavation permits totaling $115,218.50, stormwater and SWPPP review fees of $658.34, Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities fees totaling $52,434.58, Salt Lake City SWPPP permit fees of $352, Salt Lake City traffic control permit of $40, and UDOT encroachment permit fees beginning at $900 per application plus inspection charges at $110 per hour standard or $150 per hour for overtime inspections. The contractor bears full responsibility for all permit fees and costs, including any not explicitly listed, and will be reimbursed directly for these expenses. The document specifies that only one set of fees will be charged for Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) submitted to both unincorporated Salt Lake County and Magna City, and establishes monthly stormwater oversight inspection fees of $60 until project completion.
