About this file

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) document issued by the Clark County School District in Nevada for the adoption of Geoscience and Honors Geoscience textbooks aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). The District is soliciting proposals from publishers whose materials have been adopted by the State of Nevada. The RFP requires submission of ten copies each of student and teacher editions, plus digital versions, with samples due by the May 28, 2026 deadline. Questions regarding the RFP must be submitted by May 8, 2026, with answers provided by May 15, 2026. Proposals are due on May 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, with supplier selection and recommendation to the Nevada State Department of Education anticipated by July 30, 2026. The resulting contract will be a seven-year adoption agreement, with pricing and availability guaranteed throughout the term. Award notification is expected in the summer of 2026, though no specific date is provided.

Pricing must be submitted on the District's Textbook Price Agreement (TPA) form and must include all shipping charges on a F.O.B. Destination basis, with delivery to Mountain State Schoolbook Depository within 30 calendar days of purchase order receipt. The District maintains a standardized gratis teacher material ratio of one teacher's edition per 25 student textbooks ordered, with these costs included in the per-book pricing. Publishers may offer additional incentives such as reduced or free freight and ancillary materials on Schedule B. After the fourth year of the seven-year adoption, publishers may request a one-time price increase for the remaining three years, subject to District negotiation and amendment. All digital materials must support the District's technology infrastructure, including single sign-on through Clever, Canvas learning management system integration, and roster compatibility with Infinite Campus. Respondents must also agree to provide NIMAS files to NIMAC for students with disabilities and acknowledge that no click-to-accept agreements will override the written TPA contract terms.
