About this file
This file is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for the WFLHD Building Renovations federal contract opportunity. The document contains thirteen general questions answered between June 4 and August 17, 2026, addressing procurement procedures and timeline details.
Key procurement details include: the solicitation is anticipated for release in early August 2026, with site visits scheduled during both the RFQ and RFP stages; firms may submit proposals without attending presolicitation walkthroughs; SAM.gov registration must be completed prior to proposal submittal, with registration guidance available at https://sam.gov/entity-registration; and prospective contractors should use the "Follow" feature in SAM.gov to receive automated email notifications of solicitation updates and amendments. Regarding evaluation criteria, contractors must provide two project examples meeting a minimum contract value of $20 million for tenant improvement and major building renovation type projects, with Amendment A001 addressing clarification of whether both examples must meet all three key evaluation criteria. The document indicates Amendment A001 will also address an extension to the Phase 1 proposal due date, which was originally scheduled for September 1, 2026. The project remains active as of August 17, 2026, and the contracting officer's email for additional inquiries is wfl.contracts@dot.gov.

7 X
We’ve had issues in the past where hiring teams on state and federal gov’t projects won’t seriously consider a firm who hasn’t work on one of their projects before, even if we had extensive experience with the design type. Do you think this would be an issue for this project?
Please wait to refer to the solicitation. The solcitation will outline the requirements of the proposed DB teams.
