About this file
This document provides revisions to contract requirements for a federal project to improve Camas Road in Glacier National Park, Montana. The project scope includes asphalt concrete paving, sub-excavation, slide repair, turnout rehabilitation, curb and gutter, sidewalks, underdrains, ditch reconditioning, and signing and striping along four miles of the roadway. The contract revisions specify additional requirements for installing accessibility ramps and detectable warning panels in sidewalk areas, and setting survey points to ensure proper construction grades. Concrete curbs within accessibility ramps must also meet separate standards. The detectable warning panels, rebar, compressible filler, and vapor barrier materials will be evaluated according to quality assurance procedures. Measurement and payment terms exclude concrete curbs constructed under the contract.
