About this file

This is a Project Information Sheet for the Park City Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Storm Drain Infrastructure Improvements Project, which is one of six Water Department Capital Improvement Program projects requiring professional water and stormwater infrastructure design engineering services. The project encompasses improvements across two distinct areas: Park Meadows along Holiday Ranch Loop Road (three segments) and Aerie Drive. The Park Meadows scope includes survey, condition assessment, and design services for existing storm drain infrastructure that is poorly documented and failing, with approximately 2,250 linear feet of condition assessment and design evaluation for re-lining of the trunk-line, plus approximately 650 linear feet of new bored stormdrain, 375 linear feet of bored stormdrain, and 150 linear feet of replacement bored stormdrain. The Aerie Drive scope requires replacement of approximately 750 linear feet of stormdrain and inlet boxes along the steep roadway, with design emphasis on improved runoff capture during significant storm events and enhanced debris management. Both project areas have a design deadline of March 31, 2027. The Park Meadows project presents access constraints along rear property lines of established residential properties, requiring evaluation of trenchless and bored construction methods to minimize disturbance. The Aerie Drive project requires significant runoff capture evaluation and inlet reconfiguration to address clogging issues.

Park City Municipal Corporation will provide available stormwater GIS data, record information, and other project records to support the design effort. The scope of work includes preparation of construction plans, technical specifications, construction cost estimates, and project-specific design services as identified in the RSOQ. Design services must address investigation of existing infrastructure conditions, alignment verification, structural assessment, and evaluation of construction methods appropriate to site-specific conditions, with particular consideration given to minimizing environmental and property disturbances in the constrained access areas of Park Meadows.

PROJECT INFORMATION SHEET

The PCMC Storm Drain Infrastructure Improvements Project includes improvements in two distinct areas: Park Meadows (Holiday Ranch Loop Road) and Aerie Drive, as shown on the attached Project Maps. Work includes investigation and condition assessment of poorly documented and failing existing storm drain infrastructure and development of appropriate replacement and improvement designs based on field conditions.

Item Park Meadows Aerie Drive Project Limits Holiday Ranch Loop – 3 segments Aerie Drive Existing Infrastructure Existing storm drain; condition/alignment not fully documented Existing failed storm drain infrastructure

Project-Specific Design Considerations

Park Meadows – Holiday Ranch Loop Road

• Existing System Investigation: Existing storm drain infrastructure is failing and is not accurately documented. Perform detailed survey and field investigation to establish existing alignments, elevations, structures, condition, and other information necessary to develop the design.

• Condition Assessment & Design Development: Evaluate the condition of the existing infrastructure and work with PCMC to determine appropriate improvements following completion of the survey and condition assessment.

• Access & Constructability: Portions of the existing system are located along rear property lines of established residential properties with mature vegetation, fencing, and constrained access. Evaluate trenchless/bored construction and other methods to minimize property and landscape disturbance.

Aerie Drive

• Storm Drain Replacement: Develop replacement improvements for existing failed storm drain infrastructure generally as shown on the Project Map.

• Runoff Capture: Evaluate the existing drainage configuration and develop improvements to better capture and convey runoff along the steep roadway, particularly during significant storm events.

EXHIBIT G – PARK CITY STORMDRAIN INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS

• Debris Management: Existing storm drain infrastructure receives substantial debris and is believed to have experienced clogging. Evaluate inlet configuration, structures, and other design measures to improve debris management and system performance.

PCMC-Provided Information: Available stormwater GIS data, record information, known infrastructure information, and other available project records.
