7. Project Phasing
Where identified in the applicable Project Information Sheet, the Design Professional shall develop the project as multiple construction phases. Anticipated phase limits will be identified by PCMC in the Project Information Sheet and shall be confirmed and refined during design in coordination with PCMC.
Each phase shall constitute a logical and independently constructible portion of the overall project. The design and bid documents shall be organized to provide PCMC flexibility to bid and award construction by phase, including the ability to award an individual phase, multiple phases, or the entire project, as determined by PCMC based on available funding, bid results, project priorities, or other considerations.
The Design Professional shall coordinate the phases to ensure that improvements constructed under an earlier phase do not conflict with or unnecessarily duplicate subsequent phases. Design shall consider appropriate phase limits, water system connections, temporary or permanent terminations, system operation, restoration, and
RSOQ Template 6-26 6 other requirements necessary to allow each phase to function independently until subsequent phases are constructed.
Unless otherwise identified in the applicable Project Information Sheet, all phases of an assigned project shall be designed concurrently and completed by the Final Design deadline identified in this RSOQ.
8. Technical Specifications and Bid Documents
Prepare project-specific technical specifications necessary for bidding and construction of the project. PCMC will provide its standard front-end procurement and contract documents.
