Summary of E-Verify Requirement Form

This is an E-Verify compliance form issued by the Town of Palm Beach, Florida, establishing employment eligibility verification requirements for all contractors and subcontractors. The Town requires that proposers and their subcontractors be registered with the E-Verify System (E-Verify.gov) and use the system to electronically verify employment eligibility of all newly hired workers beginning January 1, 2021. All proposer workers and subcontractors performing duties and obligations under the contract must comply with this requirement. Contractors must obtain affidavits from each subcontractor confirming that the subcontractor does not employ, contract with, or subcontract with unauthorized aliens as defined under Florida Statutes Section 448.095(1)(k). Contractors must maintain copies of subcontractor affidavits for the duration of the subcontract and any extensions thereof.

The Town of Palm Beach reserves the right to terminate any contract if it has a good faith belief that the contractor has knowingly violated Florida Statutes Section 448.09(1). If a subcontractor violates the statute, the Town will notify the contractor to immediately terminate the subcontractor's contract. Contractors whose contracts are terminated for violation of this requirement will be barred from receiving future awards from the Town of Palm Beach for one year from the termination date and will be liable for any additional costs incurred by the Town resulting from the termination. The form includes signature blocks for the contractor to certify compliance, requiring submission of company name, contact information, address, phone and fax numbers, and Federal ID number.
