About this file

This is a Business Confidentiality Claim Form issued by the Utah State Archives Office of the Government Records Ombudsman for the Salt Lake City School District (SLCSD) Invitation for Bid for Transportation Bird Netting Installation Services. The solicitation seeks a qualified vendor to furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, hardware, and incidentals necessary to install permanent avian exclusion netting at three designated SLCSD bus station canopies with total coverage areas of approximately 29,753 square feet (West canopy), 32,146 square feet (Center canopy), and 32,146 square feet (East canopy). A mandatory pre-bid site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at the Salt Lake City School District Transportation Department located at 1745 West 1700 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84104, with attendance required for bid eligibility. Contractors must submit all questions in writing through the Bonfire/U3P system or pose them during the site visit, with official answers provided only through that platform or authorized addenda. The scope of work specifically excludes cleaning bird droppings, sanitizing, pressure washing, bird trapping, removal, deterrent devices, and chemical treatments.

This form allows bidders to assert confidentiality protections for trade secrets and commercial financial information submitted in their proposals in accordance with Utah Code 63G-2-305 and 63G-2-309. Claimants must provide both redacted and non-redacted versions of their proposals, with the entire proposal prohibited from redaction. The form requires submission of claimant company information, a concise statement of reasons supporting the confidentiality claim, identification of specific pages and paragraphs subject to protection, and the submitting party's signature and date. The Division of Purchasing will not redact proposals on behalf of claimants who fail to submit a redacted version, and making a confidentiality claim does not guarantee protected classification if the government receives a public records request.
