Construct Replacement CLC – Complex Care

This Addendum supplements and amends the original Drawings and
Specifications for the above referenced project. This Addendum shall be forwarded to all Prime Bidders and all appropriate building code authorities.
This Addendum shall be taken into account in the preparation of bids and shall become a part of the Contract Documents.
General
1. See attached UL Rated System Details as requested in Pre-bid RFIs.

1. Revise section 00 01 10 TABLE OF CONTENTS
a. Add the missing sections below.

1. Structural Cement-Fiber Units* — Nom 3/4 in. thick, with long edges tongue and grooved. Long dimension of panels to be perpendicular to joists with end joints staggered a min of one joist cavity and centered over the joists. Panels secured to steel joists with 1-5/8 in. long No. 8 self-drilling, self-countersinking steel screws spaced a max of 12 in. OC in the field with a screw located 1 in. and 2 in. from each edge, and 8
in. OC on the perimeter with a screw located 2 in. from each edge, located 1/2 in. from the side edges of the panel.
UNITED STATES GYPSUM CO — Type STRUCTO-CRETE, USGSP
2. Structural Steel Members* — The proprietary joists are channel-shaped, min 9-1/4 in. deep. Joists are fabricated from min No. 16 MSG galv steel, 50 ksi yield strength of the steel. Joists spaced max 24 in. OC. Joists attached to joist rim with three min 3/4 in. long No. 10 x 16 self-drilling steel TEK screws through tab to the outside of the web. At joist rim splices bearing on supports, joists rims are connected using an overlapping section of a 12 in. long splice plate (a joist piece), with four min 3/4 in. long No. 10 x 16 self-drilling steel TEK screws to each rim piece. The web of each joist is provided with cutouts at the joist mid-depth. The cutouts are spaced approximately 24 in. OC. Design Load to be based on AISI “North American Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members”.
CLARKDIETRICH BUILDING SYSTEMS — Type TDJ24 or TDW24 Floor Joists, TD Rim Joist
3. Joist Bridging - (Not Shown) — Installed at the center of the joist span, or as required as per “North American Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members”, immediately after joists are erected and before construction loads are applied. TradeReady Structural Bridging (TDSB) consists of No. 18 MSG galv steel channels, with web extensions at each end for screw-attachment to the bottom flange of the steel joists with a min 3/4 in. long No. 10 x 16 self-drilling steel TEK screw. Solid blocking consisting of cut-to-length joist sections placed between the outermost joists and between the centermost joists with a max spacing of 8 ft (2.4 m) OC. Solid blocking are screw-attached at joist web using a No. 16 MSG, min 50 ksi steel support clip (EasyClip S-Series) with three min 3/4 in. long No. 10 x 16 self-drilling steel TEK screws per leg on one side and on the other side with a No. 16 MSG, min 50 ksi steel support clip (EasyClip E-Series) with three min 3/4 in. long No. 10 x 16 self-drilling steel TEK screws per leg.
4. Batts and Blankets* — Min 3-1/2 in. thickness of mineral wool or glass fiber insulation friction-fit between structural steel members, and supported by the resilient channels (Item 5). Any mineral wool or glass fiber insulation bearing the UL Classification Marking for Surface Burning Characteristics having a flame spread index of 25 or less and a smoke developed index of 50 or less may be used.

5. Resilient Channels — Resilient channels, formed of No. 25 MSG galv steel, 1/2 in. deep, spaced max 12 in. OC perpendicular to joists.
Channel splices located beneath joists and overlapped 4 in. Channels secured to each joist with one 1/2 in. long Type S-12 low profile steel screw. Two channels, spaced 6 in. OC, oriented opposite each gypsum board end joint as shown in end joint detail.
6. Gypsum Board* — One layer of 5/8 in. thick by 48 in. wide gypsum board installed with long dimension perpendicular to resilient channels and with side joints located midway between the structural steel members. Gypsum board secured to resilient channels with 1 in. long Type S bugle head screws spaced 8 in. OC in the field and along end butt joints of the board. Screws located 1-1/2 in. and 4 in. from the side edges of the board, and 3 in. from the end butt joints. End joints secured to both resilient channels as shown in end joint detail.
CERTAINTEED GYPSUM INC — Type C
Finishing System - (Not Shown) — Vinyl, dry or premixed joint compound, applied in two coats to joints and screw-heads. Nom 2 in. wide paper tape embedded in first layer of compound over all joints. As an alternate, nom 3/32 in. thick veneer plaster may be applied to the entire surface of gypsum board.

Roof system* — Any UL Class A, B or C Roofing System (TGFU) or Prepared Roof Covering (TFWZ) or Prepared Roof-covering Materials, Formed or Molded Metal, Fiber-Cement, Plastic or Fire-retardant-treated Wood (TFXX) acceptable for use over nom 23/32 in. thick wood structural panels, min grade "C-D" or "Sheathing". Nom 23/32 in. thick wood structural panels mechanically fastened to top chord of steel trusses with 1-1/4 in. long Type S or S-12 steel screws spaced a max of 12 in. OC. As an option, the wood structural panels may be installed to min 20 ga. steel purlins or steel hat channels. Steel purlins or hat channels to be spaced a max 24 in. OC and welded or mechanically fastened, transverse to steel roof trusses (Item 1).
3A. Steel Roof Deck — (Not Shown) — In lieu of, or in addition to the wood structural panels described in Item 3, the steel roof deck may consist of corrugated or fluted steel form units, minimum 9/16 in. deep, 22 MSG painted or galv steel, welded or mechanically fastened at a max. 12 in. OC to the top chord of the roof trusses (Item 1). When used in addition to the wood structural panels described in Item 3, Batts and Blankets (Item 8) is optional. When used lieu of the wood structural panels described in Item 3, Batts and Blankets (Item 8) must be used and the Class A, B or C Roofing System must include a min 3/4 in.
thickness of roof insulation or 1/2 in. thickness of Classified or unclassified gypsum boards. If polystyrene roof insulation is used, it must be installed on top of a min 1/2 in. thickness of Classified or unclassified gypsum boards.

PLASTIC-LAMINATE-CLAD ARCHITECTURAL CABINETS
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS
A. Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and Division 01 Specification Sections, apply to this Section.
B. SUMMARY
C. Section Includes:
1. Plastic-laminate-clad architectural cabinets.
2. Cabinet hardware and accessories.
3. Wood furring, blocking, shims, and hanging strips for installing plastic-laminate-clad architectural cabinets that are not concealed within other construction.
D. Related Requirements:
1. Section 061000 "Rough Carpentry" for wood furring, blocking, shims, and hanging strips required for installing cabinets that are concealed within other construction before cabinet installation.
2. Section 123600 "Countertops."
3. Sealants: Section 07 92 00, Joint Sealants
4. Resilient Base: Section 09 65 13 Resilient Base and Accessories

1.2 COORDINATION
A. Coordinate sizes and locations of framing, blocking, furring, reinforcements, and other related units of Work specified in other Sections to support loads imposed by installed and fully loaded cabinets.
B. Hardware Coordination: Distribute copies of approved hardware schedule specified in Section 087100 "Door Hardware" to manufacturer of architectural cabinets; coordinate Shop Drawings and fabrication with hardware requirements.
1.3 PREINSTALLATION MEETINGS
A. Preinstallation Conference: Conduct conference at Project site.
1.4 ACTION SUBMITTALS
A. Product Data: For each type of product.

1. Include data for fire-retardant treatment from chemical-treatment manufacturer and certification by treating plant that treated materials comply with requirements.
B. Shop Drawings:
1. Include plans, elevations, sections, and attachment details.
2. Showlarge-scale details.
3. Show locations and sizes of furring, blocking, and hanging strips, including concealed blocking and reinforcement specified in other Sections.
4. Show locations and sizes of cutouts and holes for items installed in plastic-laminate architectural cabinets.
5. Apply AWI Quality Certification or WI Certified Compliance Program label to Shop
Drawings.
C. Samples: For each exposed product and for each color and texture specified, in manufacturer's or manufacturer's standard size.
D. Samples for Initial Selection: For each type of exposed finish.
E. Samples for Verification: For the following:
1. Plastic Laminates: 8 by 10 inches (200 by 250 mm), for each type, color, pattern, and surface finish required.
a. Provide one sample applied to core material with specified edge material applied to one edge.
b. Provide edge banding on one edge.
2. Corner Pieces:
a. Miter joints for standing trim.
3. Exposed Cabinet Hardware and Accessories: One full-size unit for each type and finish.
1.5 INFORMATIONAL SUBMITTALS
A. Qualification Data: For manufacturer and Installer.
B. Product Certificates: For each type of product. the following:
1. Composite wood products.
2. High-pressure decorative laminate.
3. Adhesives.
C. Evaluation Reports: For fire-retardant-treated materials, from ICC-ES.
D. Field quality-control reports.
1.6 CLOSEOUT SUBMITTALS
A. Quality Standard Compliance Certificates: AWI Quality Certification Program and WI Certified Compliance Program certificates.

1.7 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. Manufacturer's Qualifications: Employs skilled workers who custom fabricate products similar to those required for this Project and whose products have a record of successful in-service performance.
1. Manufacturer's Certification: Licensed participant in AWI's Quality Certification Program and WI's Certified Compliance Program.
B. Installer Qualifications: Manufacturer of products, Licensed participant in AWI's Quality Certification Program, Licensed participant in WI's Certified Compliance Program.
1.8 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
A. Do not deliver cabinets until painting and similar finish operations that might damage architectural cabinets have been completed in installation areas. Store cabinets in installation areas or in areas where environmental conditions comply with requirements specified in "Field Conditions" Article.
1.9 FIELD CONDITIONS
A. Environmental Limitations without Humidity Control: Do not deliver or install cabinets until building is enclosed, wet-work is complete, and HVAC system is operating and maintaining temperature and relative humidity at levels planned for building occupants during the remainder of the construction period.
