About this file

This document is a Technical Questions and Solicitation Responses Tracking Sheet for VA Project 36C77625B0024, a Specialty Care Building construction project in Manchester, New Hampshire. The solicitation involves constructing a new building with specific technical requirements, including underground utility work, piping installations, and specialized staffing provisions. Key details include a firm bid response date of August 14, 2025, and requirements for a full-time Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) and Contractor Quality Control (CQC) System Manager.

Critical project specifications include using AISC-certified structural steel, providing window shades, performing radiographic testing on select welds, and managing underground utility work with no specific trench length restrictions. The VA will provide water for hydrostatic testing, allow sewer drain discharge, and has already contracted DAV Energy Solutions as the commissioning agent. The project requires coordination with an active medical center campus, with contractor access primarily unescorted except in sensitive areas like the main computer room. Johnson Controls is identified as the current Building Automation System vendor, and no known asbestos or contaminated soil is anticipated during construction.

14
If hydrostatic testing is required will the water necessary for hydrostatic testing of piping systems be provided by the facility?

Yes, water will be provided by the facility for hydrostatic testing.

15
Can discharge water from hydrostatic testing be allowed to go into sewer drains or will the contractor need to provide a frac tank?
