Once cleaning is complete, ensure effectiveness with incubated bio-indicator test. In the event of test failure, implement a second deep-cleaning and re-test.

Implement stringent containment measures, including the use of negative pressure zones and specialized barriers to prevent cross-contamination. Close collaboration with VAPAHCS Infection Control department required.

See requirements in Specification Section 02 41 00 DEMOLITION and Department of Veterans Affairs Water Intrusion and Mold Management Program.

TASK 3: CORROSION MITIGATION OF STRUCTURAL STEEL

Employ non-destructive testing techniques to identify corrosion points accurately.

Implement environmentally conscious corrosion removal methods, such as abrasive blasting with eco-friendly materials.

Apply a multi-layered corrosion-resistant coating system, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.

See requirements in Specification Sections 05 12 00 STRUCTURAL STEEL FRAMING, 09 91 00 PAINTING, and 09 96 59 RESINOUS SPECIALTY GLAZED COATING SYSTEMS, as well as PG-18-14 Room Finishes.

Replace Tile Baseboard over Drywall with material compliant with PG-18-14 Room Finishes.

TASK 5: REPLACE ITEMS REMOVED DURING DEMOLITION

Replace Fire Extinguisher Cabinets (Including required signs) (4 EA). See Specification Section 10 44 13 FIRE EXTINGUISHER CABINETS.

Replace Fire Strobe Horn (3 EA). See Specification Section 28 31 00 FIRE DETECTION

AND ALARM.

Replace GFCI Outlets (6 EA). See Specification Section 26 05 33 RACEWAY AND

BOXES FOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS.

Replace Data Port Plugs (2 EA). See Specification Section 26 05 11 REQUIREMENTS

FOR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS.

Replace Corner Guards (4 EA). See Specification Section 10 26 00, WALL AND DOOR

PROTECTION.

The addition of these fans will provide a backup ability to remove humidity in the case of failure of the primary system. The fans will be installed on the roof as shown on MH6. The final location of all fans shall be approved by the COR prior to beginning construction. Refer to detail #4 on AS2-3 for roof curb. Controls shall be based on details on drawing M7-1 and will be approved by the COR prior to beginning construction. Comply with Specification Section 23 05 93 TESTING, ADJUSTING, AND BALANCING FOR HVAC.
