About this file
This document provides details for a federal solicitation seeking installation of anti-ligature door alarms at multiple Department of Veterans Affairs locations. The solicitation will require furnishing, installing, and interfacing a suicide deterrent and alarm system on seventy-five doors across five VA facilities in California, Hawaii, Nevada, and will be set aside as a total small business set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The system must detect ligature attempts before pressure is applied, be addressable, self-monitoring, and capable of remote diagnostics. It must record and display at least sixty-four recent alarm events electronically for one year. The period of performance is one hundred fifty days from notice to proceed, and the magnitude of construction is estimated between five hundred thousand to one million dollars. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or around December 30, 2019 and posted to Federal Business Opportunities, with site visit information and proposals due thirty days later unless amended.
