About this file

This is a service work order documenting annual generator maintenance performed at El Paso VA Medical Center in El Paso, Texas on April 7, 2025. The work was completed by technician Karlo Portillo from Stewart & Stevenson, with service hours from 8:30 AM to 3:45 PM.

The maintenance service included replacement of engine oil, two oil filters, fuel filter, fuel water separator filter, and air filters on a CAT 750S emergency generator (Model C27 diesel engine, Serial No. CA100C27KGD500522). A 4-hour incremental load bank test was performed in accordance with NFPA 110 standards. Inspection data documented comprehensive system checks including oil pressure (65 PSI), engine temperature (185°F), battery charging (26.2V), fuel level (100% DAY, 3000TAN), coolant levels, radiator condition, and electrical systems. All major systems were rated as GOOD. The generator frequency was 60 Hz with alternator output of 28.1 VDC at 0.2 ADC. AC meter readings showed 486V, 280A, and calculated load of 542.5 kW with an emergency stop test passed. Recommendations included replacing clear hose from pump outlet, conducting weekly day tank inspections per NFPA 110, replacing fuel supply filters, and replacing check valves with low fuel alarm input to C27 controller to annunciate low fuel conditions.
