• Demo Work: (Drawings MD101.1, MD101.2, MD102.1, MD102.2, MD111.1, MD111.2, MD112.1, and MD112.2)
• Removing FCU and Convectors - No information on the existing controls serving this equipment.
• Are we removing/capping pneumatic controls or are we removing all DDC controls & associated wiring?
• Cost Impact for this work – field survey will be required.
• New Work: (Drawings MH100.2-1, MH100-2-2, MH101.1, MH101.2, MH102.1, MH102.2, , MP111.1, MP111.2, MP112.1, MP112.2)
• Existing FCU and Convectors – No information on the existing controls serving this equipment.
• Existing FCU’s - do the existing FCU’s have existing DDC controls? If not, we’ll need to include in our price.
• New Fin tube radiation – are we just replacing the control valves and connecting to the existing ddc controllers or do we need to provide all new controllers.
• Cost Impact for this work – field survey will be required.
This is a very old building with a mix match of controls. The controls for the existing FTR are self-contained control valves and electric actuated control valves.
Existing FCU are DDC control with electric actuation.
Demo Work: Field survey work is required per the contract documents to determine the extent of the work (including, but not limited to the existing controls serving fan coil unit and convectors). New Work: Provide new controllers. Provide a “B-ASC” for each existing fan coil unit as specified (23 09 23). There are approximately ninety (90) existing fan coil units in the building on Level 1 and Level 2 that require replacement controllers. The B-ASC shall control both existing cooling only 2-pipe fan coil units as well finned-tube radiation control valve within the same thermal zone. A single temperature sensor shall control both zone cooling and zone heating functions. All controls furnished must seamlessly integrate with the existing Siemens BAS. All programming and controls associated with both the new and existing control systems shall provide a fully integrated control system.
