About this file
This is Addendum #2 to Invitation for Bids 26-005-LH for 2025 LRA Paving Projects issued by Macon-Bibb County Government Procurement Department on August 4, 2025. The addendum clarifies specifications and requirements for paving work across multiple projects, including manhole and valve box adjustments with a quantity of 252 each. Key operational details establish that milling must occur first before patching and paving installation, with patching to a maximum depth of four inches to remove cracking as needed. Final paving work must be completed within one day of milling operations. Bidders are required to price both manhole adjustment and water valve adjustment line items, with the specific type of adjustment to be determined by field conditions.
Milling work is compensated per ton, requiring contractors to provide scaled weight tickets for each load to document quantities. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their bid forms and incorporate the specified changes into their proposals. All prospective firms must submit pricing for each listed item regardless of which adjustment type may ultimately be used in the field.

Re: INVITATION FOR BIDS: 26-005-LH, 2025 LRA Paving Projects
The Invitation for Bids, referenced above, is modified as follows:
1. On each project there is a line item "install furnished Sewer Manhole & valve box riser” quantity is 252
EA.
Answer: There are also two additional Lines items " Manholes (Adjust)" and "Water Valves (Adjust)".
These two added together give you the same quantity (252 EA) as adjustment with risers. Is this a duplication? If not, please indicate how each will be used. Are we required to bid on each of these items, or may we choose the type of MH VB adjustment we wish to use?
Answer: A price is required for both items. The type of adjustment is determined by field condition.
2. What is the patch thickness?
Answer: See Frequently Asked Questions in the Bid Documents, milling for patching to be to a depth to remove cracking as needed, maximum four inches deep.
3. What is the sequence of operations? Can patching be done ahead of milling? or is milling to occur first, patching and then install paving?
Answer: See Answer 2, therefore milling is to occur first.
4. What is the cover up time between milling and paving?
Answer: See Frequently Asked Questions in the Bid Documents, Final Reply to be completed within one day of the milling work.
5. Since Milling is paid for (per TN), what procedure is to determine the tons milled? is it to be same as tons of surface mix installed? Will the contractor be required to provide scaled weights tickets for each load?
Answer: Weight Tickets are required.
Please incorporate this change into the Invitation for Bid and acknowledge receipt of this addendum on your bid form.
Sincerely, Laura Hardwick
