This is a specifications document for a furnish and install procurement issued by the State University of New York at Buffalo for science casework and equipment related to Project #2022-109, a Biomedical Education Building (BEB) renovation of the Third Floor Teaching Lab. The project requires furnishing and installing casework, one fume hood, and six snorkels, with all necessary labor, equipment, and materials included in the scope. The basis of design for casework is specified as ICI Scientific or Mott Manufacturing, though alternative manufacturers may be accepted at the University's sole discretion. The fume hood manufacturer has not been specified. Expected delivery and installation of all casework and equipment is 8-10 weeks from receipt of the University's Purchase Order. Notably, faucets and sinks will be procured separately by the University and are excluded from this contract.

The procurement includes workforce diversity requirements, with contracting goals established as follows: Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) at 6.00%, Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) at 16.00%, Women Business Enterprise (WBE) at 14.00%, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) at 0.00%. Spencer/Vernoche, an SDVOB firm, has been identified as the incumbent, having been awarded an identical or substantially similar procurement contract within the past five years. Bidders should note that the specifications document (Attachment C) and mechanical drawings (C-1) contain detailed information regarding fume hood and snorkel specifications that must be referenced during proposal preparation.
