About this file
This is a Sanitary Sewer Bypass Specification document prepared for the Solano County Justice Campus Asset Protection project, with KSN, Inc. serving as the Project Manager and Baumbach & Piazza, Inc. as the Project Engineer. The specification outlines requirements for a temporary sewer bypass system designed to maintain sanitary sewer operations during the broader Asset Protection Project, which encompasses flood mitigation infrastructure across multiple county properties in the Union Avenue, Clay Street, Delaware Street, and Texas Street areas. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to install, operate, and maintain the bypass pumping system and associated pipelines as detailed on plan sheet SS-1. Work must comply with Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District Standards, applicable City, District, County, State, and Federal environmental regulations and codes. The contractor is responsible for complete site restoration upon completion, including backfilling, grassing, sodding, and routine site restoration, with all costs incorporated into the lump sum bid price. Specific response dates, bidder conferences, and contract award information are not contained within this specification document, as it represents one technical component of the larger multi-prime Asset Protection procurement.
Compensation is provided on a lump sum basis, with the single price covering all aspects of bypass system installation, operation, materials, labor, tools, transportation, disposal, and related incidentals. The specification references additional requirements and detailed provisions shown on plan sheet SS-1, which would contain submittal requirements, preparation procedures, and specific technical standards. As a component of the federally funded FEMA Asset Protection Project, the work must align with prevailing wage requirements and federal compliance standards applicable to the overall Justice Campus Asset Protection initiative in Solano County.
