Sanitary Sewer Bypass Specification Summary
This is a sanitary sewer bypass specification document prepared for the Solano County Justice Campus Asset Protection project, with project management oversight by KSN, Inc. and engineering by Baumbach & Piazza, Inc. The specification outlines requirements for a temporary sewer bypass system that the contractor must furnish, install, operate, and maintain during construction activities. The work includes providing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to place and operate the bypass pumping system and associated pipelines as detailed on plan sheet SS-1. All work must be performed in accordance with Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District standards and applicable City, County, State, and Federal environmental regulations and codes. The contractor must provide complete restoration upon project completion, including backfilling, grassing, sodding, and routine site restoration, with all costs incorporated into the lump sum bid price.
Compensation for the sanitary sewer bypass work is established through a single lump sum price that encompasses all labor, materials, tools, transportation, disposal, supplies, equipment, appurtenances, and incidentals required for complete installation and operation of the temporary bypass system. The specification does not address pricing terms, funding sources, or contract award details, as this document serves solely as a technical specification for the bypass component of the broader Justice Campus Asset Protection project. All work must conform to the sanitary sewer bypass provisions established on the design plan sheet SS-1 and be completed in compliance with the District's operational standards.
