About this file

This document is Addendum #2 for Invitation for Bid (IFB) 25-009-PW for the 19th Avenue Reconstruction Project issued by the City of Rio Rancho's Department of Financial Services Purchasing Division. The addendum provides comprehensive responses to 38 contractor questions regarding project specifications, including clarifications on material testing allowances, asphalt millings disposal, excavation requirements, waterline connections, concrete pavement sections, storm drain culvert specifications, and traffic control provisions. Key modifications include adding bid items for vibration monitoring, tack coat, prime coat, header curb, and adjusting quantities for smart hydrants and storm drain inlets. The addendum extends the question deadline to July 11, 2025, at 5pm MDT and requires contractors to acknowledge receipt of the addendum.

The addendum addresses multiple technical and procedural aspects of the project, such as confirming that all areas disturbed during construction must be returned to pre-construction conditions, no additional permits or easements are required, and work is confined to the city's right-of-way. Specific clarifications include no tree/vegetation removal requirements, no cleaning of existing drainage channels, confirmation of paving sections for different road types, and confirmation of two variable message boards being required for the project duration. The contractor will be responsible for determining material testing costs, disposing of asphalt millings, and ensuring compliance with city municipal codes and project-specific requirements. Two variable message boards and a traffic control supervisor with a log book are mandatory for the project.
