About this file
This document is an amendment to a solicitation responding to a question about acceptable coupling styles for pipelines. The solicitation number is 140R6023R0013 from the Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation for the Arkansas Valley Conduit Injection Site. The amendment responds that W257B coupling style is not an acceptable substitution for the restrained split sleeve couplings for dynamic joint deflection specified in the drawings for the 30-inch and 48-inch pipelines at the Boone Delivery Vault and Avondale Vault. Only the restrained split sleeve style couplings will be allowed to accommodate the required 2 inches of dynamic movement.
