About this file
This technical specification outlines the requirements for decorative metal railings to be installed at the First Bank building as part of its rehabilitation. The project involves fabricating and installing new steel, bronze, and copper alloy railings at the historic building and new addition to augment existing railings and comply with code heights. Shop drawings must be submitted for extensions, wall-mounted and freestanding handrails, stair and guard railings, and steel guardrails. Product data is required for post-installed anchors and delegated design submittals for extensions and new guardrails. Railing materials include steel, bronze, and architectural bronze alloy with specified finishes and recycled content. Installation must carefully install anchors in historic substrates to avoid damage.
