About this file

This document is Amendment 1 (July 2026) to a construction contract for NIFC 100 Admin Additional Repairs at the United States Department of the Interior's Wildland Fire Service facility in Boise, Idaho.

The amendment modifies contract requirements across multiple technical and operational areas. Terminology changes include renaming "Bid Additive #1" to "Bid Option #1." Layout modifications to Open Office 129 require incorporation of an attached sketch into the architectural, finishes, mechanical, electrical, and furniture drawing sets, with elimination of power poles. Construction timelines are adjusted to allow the government seven calendar days to remove items from abated spaces following Notice to Proceed, reduce the construction pause in open offices from two weeks to one week, and limit total work (abatement, demolition, and construction) to 180 consecutive calendar days. Building occupancy provisions specify that designated abatement areas remain unoccupied during construction with dust control measures installed and HVAC systems shut off, while other areas remain occupied; additionally, the full building will be unoccupied for up to five consecutive business days and four non-business days for abatement activities. Electrical modifications to Open Office 134 require removal of modular furniture power poles and installation of wall-mounted power and data outlets connected to government-provided power whips, with network cable routing adjusted accordingly. Door modifications include adding three replacement doors (025, 027, and 140) with specific hardware groups featuring electromechanical mortise locks, electrified hinges, door position switches, card readers, and closers, with card reader 025 programmed for two-factor authentication and readers 027 and 140 for one-factor authentication. Additional changes specify installation of a 14"x14" white powder-coated steel eggcrate grille with integrated damper on the basement exhaust duct, deletion of restroom sign requirements, and addition of detailed room sign specifications including individual titles, names, ABA room identifications with braille, and sign material and installation standards.
