About this file
This is an insurance requirements document issued by the Broward County Aviation Department for the North Perry Airport (HWO) Lead Emission Screening project. The document establishes mandatory insurance coverage specifications that vendors must maintain throughout the contract performance period. Key insurance requirements include General Liability with minimum limits of $2 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate; Auto Liability with $1 million combined bodily injury and property damage coverage; Workers Compensation at statutory limits with $1 million Employers Liability per accident; Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions) with $2 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate for engineering, surveying, and design professionals; and Pollution/Environmental Liability with $5 million limits if claims-made form with a 2-year Extended Reporting Period, applicable when consultants conduct testing, investigation, drilling, or work with hazardous materials on airport property. Maximum deductibles are specified at $25,000 for Pollution/Environmental Liability and $100,000 for Professional Liability.
The insurance policy conditions require Broward County to be listed as Certificate Holder and additional insured for all liability coverage except Professional Liability. The vendor's insurance must provide primary coverage with no contribution required from the County and must include 30 days' written notice of cancellation, or 10 days' notice for non-payment. Any self-insured retention must be declared to and approved by the County with proof of financial capability to cover potential losses. The vendor bears full responsibility for all coverage deductibles unless otherwise specified in the final agreement.
