CVIA Well

H2 Pasture Well

B5 Pasture Well

4-inch galvanized pipe elbow transition from below grade to above grade

Use existing 4-inch galvanized pipe as sleeve for 1-inch flexible water supply line. Extend supply pipe 2-feet beyond above grade transition

Approximate location of new well

Existing electrical transformer. Extend electrical supply line overhead across the roadway to existing electrical pole. Provide transition from overhead to underground to power the new well.

CVIA Well Site Map

CVIA Well Scope of Work

1. Install new 6-inch diameter agricultural well in the vicinity of the storage tank – anticipated depth for adequate production is approximately 200-feet deep.

2. Size the well and pump system to maintain at least 10 GPM.

3. Connect well to existing pressure tank.

4. Reconfigure piping from tank to supply livestock trough.

5. Reduce piping sizes as appropriate and install new ball valves to control outlets.

6. Install new 1-inch flexible piping from tank, through existing 4-inch sleeve, under roadway to where the sleeve piping rises above grade.

7. Cap off new piping 24-inches after exiting sleeve.

8. Add brass wye strainer upstream of both new outlet valves.

9. Preserve ability to fill tank from existing hose.

10. Remove sight tube and plug bungs at tank.

11. Route new electrical supply wires from existing pole mounted transformer located across the street, to existing power pole adjacent to storage tank.

1. Option 1. Replace transformer

12. Transition power from over head to underground and connect to new well. Trench as needed.

13. Provide new power disconnect to well.

14. Install new pressure switch and pressure gauge on existing tank. Pressure switch to control well.

1. Option 2. Replace existing pressure tank with opaque poly tank and pressurization system

Existing Electrical Transformer and Poles

1. Extend new electrical supply from existing pole mounted transformer, to existing pole on north side of road, transition down pole to below grade supply to new well.

2. Install new electrical disconnect at new well.

3. Option 1 – if existing transformer cannot support new well, replace with appropriately size transformer

Pressure Tank Details

1. Install new pressure switch and incorporate with well controls

2. Install new pressure gauge

3. Remove sight tube and install plugs in openings

4. Replace pressure relief valve with new

5. Pressure test existing tank

6. Option 2. Replace existing steel tank with a 1500 gallon opaque poly tank, new booster pump, and appropriately sized pressure tank.

Pressure Tank, Booster Pump and Piping

1. Reduce 4-inch piping to 2-inch and install a new brass ball valve tank effluent piping.

2. Remove and cap off lower temporary fill piping.

3. Install new piping from new well to fill pressure tank.

4. Install new brass wye strainers on the 2-inch outlet piping.

5. Downstream of gate valve, install new underground 1-inch supply piping from tank, under roadway through existing 4-inch pipe (sleeve).

6. Disconnect piping to booster pump and CVIA

Tank, Pressure Relief, Pressure Switch, Pressure Gauge

Booster Pump and Piping

Disconnect piping to booster pump and cap off both ends.

Transition of 4-inch pipe from below to above grade.

1. Provide 1-inch supply piping from Pressure tank, through existing 4-inch piping. Extend 1-inch supply piping minimum 24-inches beyond end of 4-inch pipe.

2. Extend flexible pipe with CPVC where exposed.

3. Cap new supply line.

4. Seal annular space between supply line and 4-inch sleeve by approved method.

5. Utilize existing 4-inch pipe as protective pipe sleeve until transition above grade.
