About this file
This document outlines requirements for the renovation of the Catalina Headquarters building at El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico. The USDA Forest Service Southern Region will solicit fixed price construction proposals for the reconstruction and redesign of the two-story 11,016 square foot administrative facility based on Construction Documents dated June 22, 2020. Damages from Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017 significantly impacted facilities, roads, and trees throughout El Yunque National Forest and recovery is expected to last years. Vendors must be registered in SAM.gov to be considered for an award between $4-10 million. The solicitation is estimated to be issued on or around July 15, 2020 and will include photographs and video in lieu of an in-person site visit. NAICS code 236220 for Commercial and Institutional Building Construction applies.
