Lucky Peak Nursery New Greenhouse - 1240LT26Q0137 Questions and Answers 003
Note: Questions were copied as they were received with some spelling errors corrected. Some questions mention “bid” “pre-bid” etc. That terminology was left in the questions, but this solicitation is a Request for Quotations under the Revolutionary FAR Part 12.
1. Greenhouse #2 Scope and Area
Section 000503 contains language describing repair of an existing wood-framed facility, while the drawings require construction of a new greenhouse. The contract identifies the new greenhouse as 38,701 SF, while Cravo’s four 42-foot by 228-foot houses total 38,304 SF.

19. I cannot find any specs on the Radiant Heat system for the two greenhouses. General note #1 on M1.01b says for the contractor to provide a design for heating and ventilation according to the specifications. There are no specifications for the radiant heat or the floor heat in the spec book. I do not know what these buildings would require for heating. And without specs or a supplier for the radiant heat and floor heat I am at a lost as to what and how much material to bid.
- Per General Note #1 on Sheet M1.01b, the Contractor shall provide a design for heating and ventilation of the existing greenhouse and new greenhouse. The systems shall be approved by the Contracting Officer per the specifications. The general notes and keyed notes on Sheet M1.101b, project specifications, and plans provide a basis for the Contractor’s design. The final quantity takeoffs and materials for the heating and ventilation system in the greenhouses is dependent upon the Contractor provided design.
20. On the PDF’s there is a discrepancy on the air system. On P102 the plumbing print shows 6 air drops terminating approximately at 44” above grade and 1 hose reel. On the architectural print A3.02a the architectural sheet shows 7 hose reels terminating at +/- 10’. Which of the two plans is correct.
- Sheet P102 is correct, the air should be at 44 inches above the ground.
