About this file

This document contains a Broad Agency Announcement from the Federal Highway Administration soliciting research proposals in support of structural engineering programs. The announcement seeks solutions that advance the agency's strategic goals in areas including steel and concrete bridges, load rating, seismic resilience, tunnels, bridge security, and fiber reinforced polymer composites. Prospective offerors are invited to propose technologies that develop the agency's objectives for safety, infrastructure, innovation, and accountability as defined in its strategic plan. The BAA expresses interest but does not commit funds to proposal preparation. Awards may take the form of contracts, assistance agreements, or other beneficial instruments at the government's discretion.
