About this file
This Statement of Work from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) details the construction requirements for the Hunter Creek Maintenance Station Sander Storage Building project. The project involves constructing a new Pre-engineered Metal Building (PEMB), including clearing and excavation, storm drainage, concrete foundations, aggregate fill and grading. ODOT will provide the PEMB metal frame, roofing panels and related components for erection from a cancelled project, along with original construction drawings and an inventory of metal frame components. The contractor must validate ODOT's inventory list and note any missing pieces within two weeks of Notice to Proceed (NTP).
The project is structured with a Base Bid and Add Alternate #1 due to limited funding availability. The Base Bid includes foundations, building erection, below-grade utilities, utility trenching, and site grading. Add Alternate #1, if awarded, requires the contractor to furnish and install pre-finished metal siding and trim at south and west walls as detailed in the plans and specifications. ODOT notes that available funding may not be adequate to construct the entire project, and the additive alternate is being used to maximize work within funding constraints.
