About this file

This document is the Mandatory Technical Requirements and Desirable Items for a price agreement (contract) solicited by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) to provide scalable lithium ferro phosphate (LiFePO4) energy storage and accompanying hybrid charger systems for wireless microwave and two-way communication sites across multiple jurisdictions in Oregon, including Marion County and the City of Salem. The requested equipment must meet specific requirements around charger/rectifier capabilities, battery bank properties, and solar controller integration. Proposers must respond to each mandatory requirement, with a "no" response to any resulting in disqualification. Desirable items are also included that will be scored. The overall contract will be awarded to a single qualified supplier on an as-needed basis to meet ODOT's wireless communication section requirements.

The document also references the overall Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Battery Backup Power Systems Price Agreement, which covers the jurisdictions, contract terms, and other high-level details. No specific pricing terms, funding sources, or incumbent information is provided in this technical requirements document. The selected contractor will be expected to provide comprehensive warranties for both equipment and services under the resulting price agreement.
