An NIGP commodity or service code category connected to a state or local procurement record.

NIGP codes classify commodities and services in many state and local procurement systems. Use this relationship to compare what a state or local source says is being bought; it is not the same as federal NAICS industry coding or PSC product/service coding.
Notes
- State and local sources do not all provide the same category system. GovTribe may use source-provided codes, mapped NIGP/UNSPSC equivalents, or categories extracted from source text when structured codes are not available.
