Contract type is the source-reported procurement instrument family, such as a stand-alone award, order, blanket purchase agreement, schedule, GWAC, or other contract vehicle. Use it to understand what kind of contracting instrument the record represents; pricing arrangement is documented separately in pricing type.

Values

GovTribe normalizes federal contract type codes into customer-facing labels. Not every value appears on every data type, and state or local contract records can carry source-supplied contract type labels outside the federal value set.

• BPA Call: An order or call placed against a blanket purchase agreement.
• Delivery Order: An order for supplies or services placed against an existing contract vehicle or IDV.
• Purchase Order: A standalone purchase order action.
• Definitive Contract: A standalone contract award that is not an order under another vehicle.
• Other Transaction Agreement: An other transaction agreement reported as an award action.
• Other Transaction Order: An order reported under an other transaction vehicle or agreement.
• Federal Supply Schedule: A GSA federal supply schedule IDV.
• Indefinite Delivery Contract: An indefinite delivery contract used for future orders.
• Blanket Purchase Agreement: A blanket purchase agreement used for future calls.
• Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC): A government-wide acquisition contract IDV.
• Other Transaction IDV: An IDV-style other transaction vehicle.
• Basic Ordering Agreement: A basic ordering agreement.
• Master IDIQ: A federal contract vehicle organized as a master indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity vehicle.
• Master BPA: A federal contract vehicle organized as a master blanket purchase agreement.
• Master GSA Schedule: A federal contract vehicle organized as a master GSA schedule.
• Master GWAC: A federal contract vehicle organized as a master government-wide acquisition contract.
• Grant For Research: A research grant value that can appear in source contract-type mappings.
• Cooperative Agreement: A cooperative agreement value that can appear in source contract-type mappings.
• Training Grant: A training grant value that can appear in source contract-type mappings.
• Intragovernmental: A transaction or agreement reported as intragovernmental.
• Funded Space Act Agreement: A funded Space Act agreement.
• Not Reported: The source did not provide a more specific contract type.
