The Grants.gov applicant categories reported as eligible for a federal grant opportunity.

Applicant types come from Grants.gov opportunity data and describe which organization or person categories the grantor says may apply. Use them as eligibility context for the notice, not as evidence that those applicants have already applied or received funding.

Values

  • 501(c)(3) Nonprofits: Eligible applicant type for nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status.
  • City/Township Governments: Eligible applicant type for city or township governments.
  • County Governments: Eligible applicant type for county governments.
  • For Profit Organizations: Eligible applicant type for for-profit organizations.
  • Higher Education Inst. (Private): Eligible applicant type for private higher education institutions.
  • Higher Education Inst. (Public): Eligible applicant type for public higher education institutions.
  • Independent School Districts: Eligible applicant type for independent school districts.
  • Individuals: Eligible applicant type for individual applicants.
  • Non-501(c)(3) Nonprofits: Eligible applicant type for nonprofit organizations without 501(c)(3) status.
  • Other: Eligible applicant type reported as other by the source.
  • Public or Indian Housing Auth.: Eligible applicant type for public or Indian housing authorities.
  • Small Businesses: Eligible applicant type for small businesses.
  • Special District Governments: Eligible applicant type for special district governments.
  • State Governments: Eligible applicant type for state governments.
  • Tribal Governments (Federally Recognized): Eligible applicant type for federally recognized tribal governments.
