UNSPSC 73000000: Industrial Production and Manufacturing Services

This segment includes contracted services associated with industrial and manufacturing processes.

UNSPSC 73000000 Industrial Production and Manufacturing Services, a Segment code, encompasses work state and local governments procure under manufacturing, production, quality assurance, and materials processing — ranging from concrete panel fabrication and chemical cleaning to aircraft engine overhaul, forest fuels reduction, and construction materials testing. Recent activity shows state and local buyers soliciting on-demand manufacturing, specialized testing and certification, facility rehabilitation work, and commodity supply with quality assurance requirements rather than continuous-output production contracts.

Issuing bodies span county departments (Orange County, Tuolumne County), municipal utilities and public works (City of Meriden, Town of Enfield, Tucson Water), state agencies (Connecticut DAS, Rhode Island DOH, Iowa DOT, State of Utah), school districts, transit authorities, and special-purpose districts. County and municipal water and waste management operations appear frequently. Geographic spread includes California (Orange County, Tuolumne County), Connecticut (multiple towns and state), Rhode Island, Utah, Arizona, Texas, Florida, and Iowa, with no single region dominating. Recent representative solicitations include the Orange County Health Care Agency's IFB for pickup and recycling of used oil and bilge pads (response July 31, 2026), Tuolumne County's RFP for forest fuels reduction across 1,722 acres (response May 31, 2026), City of Meriden's RFP for food service paper goods and disposables to schools (response July 16, 2026), Connecticut DAS's ITB for cook-chill bags for correctional food service (response June 1, 2026), and the City of Pasadena's IFB for historic library window replacement under Labor Code Section 1771 (response October 21, 2025). Opportunities range from $85,000 master orders to $20 million five-year traffic signal supply-and-installation contracts, with many tied to federal compliance (Davis-Bacon, ARPA, settlement funds) or state environmental/safety mandates (California SB 1383 edible food recovery, OSHA roof access systems).
