About NIGP 48655
NIGP 48655 Floor Stripper and Cleaners, Environmentally Certified Products, Item, encompasses consumable janitorial and facility-maintenance cleaning supplies procured by state and local education and public-safety agencies on as-needed and recurring bases. Recent opportunities show state and local governments buying floor strippers and related cleaners as part of broader janitorial supply contracts serving fire stations, school food-service kitchens, and school gymnasiums; the cleaners appear within larger consumable supply programs rather than as standalone line items. Issuing bodies include county boards of commissioners, school districts, and school boards—notably Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners, Hillsborough County Public Schools, and Pinellas County School District in recent 2026 activity.
Solicitation activity clusters in Florida. The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners posted ITB2600319 on July 7, 2026, seeking janitorial and operational supplies for the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Department's 47 stations with a due date of July 24, 2026 and an estimated annual contract value of $765,679.84; the ITB requires new, unused products in original packaging, authorized-distributor status, and standard delivery within 10 days. Hillsborough County Public Schools posted RFP 25614-RFP-DST on April 13, 2026, for a comprehensive food service sanitation program serving 212 school kitchens with a due date of March 10, 2026, an estimated annual contract value of $400,000 funded entirely by USDA, and monthly site visits, bilingual training materials, and 24-hour emergency resupply. Pinellas County School District posted ITB 25CD079 for gym floor screening and re-coating services due February 4, 2026, which includes material delivery, storage compliance, and use of specified finishing products. Cooperative purchasing applies to the Hillsborough County Board contract, which may be shared with members of the Hillsborough County Governmental Purchasing Council under the same terms.
