Texas Wesleyan University received a $1.44 million Project Grant award from the Department of Education's Office of Postsecondary Education under the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) program. The grant will support the university's "Engaging Spaces: Equipment and Technology to Drive Student Success" initiative from June 2023 through May 2026. As part of its mission to improve postsecondary instruction and expand opportunities, FIPSE provides community project funding to support innovative strategies and institutional reforms. Under this award, Texas Wesleyan University will utilize the funding to upgrade equipment and technology resources with the goal of driving student success. The funding will also support expanded access to makerspaces for community members, in line with FIPSE's focus on improving postsecondary opportunities.
